Ajax Queens Football Club ended the mid season preparations on Wednesday with a friendly game against UCU Lady Cardinals.
The game played at UCU main campus in Mukono saw the hosts register a 2-1 victory.
Despite Carol 'Musezi' Nakyanzi heading home for us, UCU Lady Cardinals eventually won the game through Moreen Kinavudori and Hasifah Nassuna.
This was the second game for the football Queens in a space of four days with the other against Isra Academy last Sunday.
Since the end of the first round of the Fufa Women elite league in December last year, the Queens have had several trial games.
This includes taking part in the Entebbe holiday camp where Ajax Queens emerged.champions for the second successive year.
With the league resuming this weekend, head coach Michael Natima is confident the team will be in good shape come Saturday.
" It is good that we have had these build up games, they have helped us identify our mistakes and I believe we shall try to address them before Saturday," he said.
The team will make a trip to Wakiso to face off with Rinnes Women Football Club this Saturday at Wakisha playground.
The first leg meeting in Buddo ended in a 2-1 victory for the Queens with Nakyanzi and Moreen Afoyo scoring.
Ajax Queens Football Club ended the first round of the league in second placd in Victoria group with 13 points.
