A Ugandan based group from Bulenga Wakiso, who does promotion, bachelor and bachelorette parties, creates shows/performances/events, dance and teach dancehall classes/workshops. Traveling to places around the world every year has been a way to get deeper into the danceing world and developing our style. DANCEHALL is our passion, our life and what we stand for as a dance crew. We are also a part of the AJAX SPORTS MINISTRIES and THE AJAX QUEEN FOOTBALL CLUB.
WHO ARE WE
The crew was founded back in 2005. We have been dancing since a young age and meet for the first time back in 2000. The crew was baptized during a trip to Nairobi in March 2009 and they have since then been teaching and performing together as AJAX DANCE CREW.
In 2012 we decided to expand the crew and together with our former students we created a whole new AJAX DANCE CREW. In 2014 we decided to extend the dancing family under the name AJAX DANCE CREW AND PRODUCTIONS, which includes AJAX, Notice Dance Crew and additional talented dancers. “We represent something different; everybody has their own flavor, appearance, personality and style… That’s what makes us who we are, the diversity is fun and unusual but we all come together because we all share the same passion for what we do”.
WHAT WE DO
Some of the members are taught in several dance styles and has experience in both Hip Hop, House as well as Balett and Modern dance. But together we embrace DANCEHALL and it’s culture to the fullest. One of our goals is to share the knowledge we assembled from our trips to different parts of the world and our years of “studying” the culture and the dance. Teaching dancehall with the goal to educate and share the love and respect for the culture with all our students (from the age of 4 to 40+) has been a way to spread the message.
