Ajax Queens Football Club has on Tuesday resumed training in preparation for the forthcoming tournaments and the second round of the league.
The team began earlier preparations in order to return to fitness and have adequate training sessions before the second round of the league begins according to head coach Michael Natima.
" We have resumed training early enough to make sure the players return to the expected fitness levels in time," he said before adding,
" We have many tournaments coming up and the second round of the league which is important, so the earlier you start preparing, the better."
A total of thirteen players were part of the morning session conducted by coach Michael Natima at the team's training ground in Kikaaya.
Defender Brenda Nassozi who played only one game in the first round because she was sitting for her senior six exams attended the first training session.
Goalkeeper Pamela Nakayondo who has been sick for over a month also returned and was part of today's training.
The other players that were available include Rachael Nalunga,Joan Nassali, Annet Namwenge, Piira Mary, Carol Nakyanzi, Phiona Nabumba, Grace Nakanwagi, Moureen Afoyo, Rukia Namubiru and new signing Hamidah Muhumuza.
Ajax Queens FC finished the first round of the league in second place with 13 points in Victoria group.
The other tournaments where the Football Queens are expected to compete include Entebbe Invitational, Maama Becca Memorial Cup and the Fufa Women's Cup.
