From L-R is Ajax Queens Piira Mary fighting for the ball with Muteesa's vHabibah Nakayobyo
Ajax Queens Football Club has not been in action for close to a fortnight since playing out a goalless draw against She Corporate.
A brilliant start where the club collected four points in the opening two games and keeping clean sheets therein has been followed up with rigorous training in preparation for the game against Gafford Ladies.
The coaches have taken the team through a number of sessions as the football Queens seek to earn maximum points away in Kanyanya this Sunday.
Midfielder Mary Pirah is confident the team is ready and up to the task of playing against Gafford Ladies.
" It is a tricky encounter because Gafford Ladies have never been an easy side especially when playing us but we are ready this time round," she said before adding.
" They have always rallied back in games where we lead them but I know we are focused and I'm confident we shall get all three points," Pirah asserted.
Pirah has been influential for Ajax Queens in her new role as a holding midfielder providing cover to the defence line in the games against Muteesa and She Corporate.
Ajax Queens occupy fourth position on the log in Victoria group.
