Ajax Queens Coach Michael Natima after the game against Gafford Ladies
A spirited display from the football queens helped them to a comfortable 2-0 win against Gafford Ladies.
Coach Natima stated that he was happy for the commitment from the players and noted that they played according to game plan.
" I'm thankful to the players for the spirited performance today. The commitment was massive and everyone was lively today and that helped us get a good result," he said.
" They played according to instructions and stuck to it up to the final whistle," coach Natima added.
The coach also lauded the defence line for adapting to the new system in a short period and keeping three clean sheets in as many games.
" They have ably adapted to the new system with three defenders at the back and have continued to improve every other game," he asserted.
Bridget Nabisaalu, Joan Nassali and Rachael Nalunga have been employed in the three - man since the start of the season.
Asked about the performance of Maureen Afoyo who was playing her first game this season, the coach indicated that she was a great addition to the team.
" We seemed short of creativity in the previous two games but her addition offered us more options going forward and generally the return of the players who have been engaged with S.4 exams was a great boost," coach Natima stated.
Two goals in the first half from Bridget Nabisaalu and Maureen Afoyo were enough for Ajax Queens to register victory.
The win meant Ajax Queens moved to second position on seven points in three games.
