New recruit Gloria Ayikol earned her debut at Ajax Queens in the 2-1 win away against Gafford Ladies on Sunday.
The defensive midfielder was happy about playing her first game at the new club indicating she had waited for that moment.
" I'm really delighted about getting my first appearance at Ajax Queens. It is a dream come true for me because this was my first game in the elite league," said Ayikol who joined the club from Isra Academy.
" I'm happy that the coach had the trust in me despite training for just one day but most importantly we got maximum points," she added.
Ayikol was not available for the opening two games that Ajax Queens played against Muteesa I Royal University and She Corporate because she was sitting for her UCE exams at Mukono High School.
However, the combative midfielder has vowed to fully commit her self now that she is done with exams.
" I'm now free now that the exams are out of the way. The focus now will be on the team," Ayikol asserted.
Ayikol came on as a second half substitute replacing Dorothy Nalukwago as Ajax Queens defeated Gafford Ladies 2-1 in Kanyanya.
