Ajax Queens 0-2 Kawempe Muslim

Ajax Queens Football Club suffered their first loss this season falling to Kawempe Muslim at home.

In the game played at Buddo Secondary School on Sunday, the visitors scored two goals in the second half to eventually pick three points.

The game lived up to the billing with action from either side as both teams put up a great display to the delight of the fans.

Moreen Afoyo got the first chance for Ajax Queens in the 14th minute drilling through Kawempe's defence line but her feeble shot was well collected by goalkeeper Juliet Adeke.

Moments later, Afoyo was denied by the woodwork with her delivery from the corner ricotcheting off the cross.

Goalkeeper Gloria "Zaza" Namakula made two super saves at the half hour mark denying Juliet Nalukenge in a one on one situation.

She also rose to the occasion on several moments making timely clearances.

Defender Bridget Nabisaalu was at the rescue in the 32nd minute saving a goal bound ball after goalie Namakula was beaten.

At the start of the second stanza, head coach Michael Natima made the first change introducing Annet Namwenge for Grace Nakanwagi.

The visitors eventually broke the deadlock in the 74th minute through Apon Sharon before Habiba Namalwa doubled the lead.

Despite efforts to cut the deficit, the football Queens failed to find the cutting edge hence suffering the first loss this season.

Ajax Queens remain second in Victoria group on seven points with the next game coming at home against Rines Women Football Club on 3rd December.
