Nabisaalu optimistic for improvement in upcoming games

Ajax Queens defender Bridget Nabisaalu during the game against Rines

A draw against Rinnes Women Football Club over the weekend was not the result that Ajax Queens wanted but that was all that the team could afford on the day.

With a big injury crisis hitting the team, Ajax Queens missed several key players including all the goalkeepers( Pamela Nakayondo and Gloria Namakula) hence starting the second round of the league on a low note.

However, despite a sloppy restart, versatile player Bridget Nabisaalu is optimistic the team will improve in the upcoming games.

" We fought hard to get a result against Rinnes and I applaud everyone for the commitment but it was evident we lacked in some departments due to the numerous injuries," she said.

" However, I have the belief that we shall improve and put up a better display in the next games if the injured players return," Nabisaalu added.

Asked if she thinks Ajax Queens will break the jinx of not qualifying for playoffs this season, the defender indicated they are committed as players to make it happen this time.

" We have always failed short in the second round but I have the belief that there has been change this time and with everyone's commitment we shall break the jinx," she vowed.

The next game for the football Queens will be a trip to Nakawa to face She Corporate this weekend.

Ajax Queens remained second in Victoria group on 14 points after the one all draw against Rinnes WFC.
