Ajax Queens starting XI against she corporate
Ajax Queens remained top of Victoria group in the FUFA Women Elite League despite drawing goalless against She Corporate on Saturday.
In our maiden game at the new home venue (Buddo Secondary School), Ajax Queens settled for a point against the visitors.
Head coach Michael Natima made one change from the team that started against Muteesa I Royal University with Carol "Musezi" Nakyazi starting on bench and her slot was taken by Grace Nakanwagi.
Ajax Queens had several attempts towards goal but failed to get the cutting edge against a resilient She Corporate side.
Nakanwagi came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the first half but her effort of the right foot sailed just above the goal.
Midfielder Phiona Nabumba who dominated proceedings in the midfielder too came close but She Corporate's goalkeeper Fatuma Matovu was quick to save.
The coach opted for changes introducing Carol Nakyanzi and Nassozi for Gloria Nakanwagi and Dorothy Nalukwago respectively.
Nakyazi seemed to have had an instant impact and pilled pressure on She Corporate back line.
The fast forward had a moment to put Ajax Queens ahead running ahead of the defenders but her shot went just wide.
The result means Ajax Queens remain top of the Victoria group on four points in two games and yet to concede.
The next game for the football Queens will be a short trip to Kanyanya against Gafford Ladies on 5th November.
